Philanthropy Manager – Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY
The Philanthropy Manager works in a strong team environment and is responsible for implementing a broad-based strategy to secure and increase financial support through corporate, foundation and government grants, individual gifts, and sponsorships. The Philanthropy Manager is responsible for identifying and qualifying prospects, aligning donor interests to SPARK’s goals and initiatives, and soliciting and stewarding overall donor gifts. This position is also responsible for managing relationships with donors and key stakeholders with the support of the Executive Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
– Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
– Three to five (3-5) years of experience in building strategic partnerships or equivalent experience in a similar role that demonstrates the required skills
– Proven track record of meeting financial goals
– Prior experience in writing, achieving, and managing grants
– Proven ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous deadlines and tasks
– Experience working with volunteer committees (preferred, but not required)
– Knowledge of non-profit databases (preferred, but not required)

Experiential Learning Coordinator (Education Coordinator) – Part Time
This position is critical to implementing programs both in the museum and in the community at schools. The Experiential Learning Coordinator creates and supports meaningful experiential learning opportunities for all who come to SPARK.
Organizational skills are essential in being prepared for the programs, as well as flexibility for when changes must be made, and the resiliency to adapt based on the needs of the visitors. In addition to this, the ability to use problem solving skills if something is not going well, along with critical thinking to know how their choice still fits with the age appropriate learning goals. Managing materials and implementing the program to fidelity are large parts of this role.

SPARKOLOGIST
Part-time (Weekend and weekday museum floor positions available)
SPARK’s Sparkologists are responsible for making guests and members feel welcome and safe in all exhibit spaces. Duties include interacting with guests/members and addressing any visitor questions or concerns, helping with the front desk point-of-sale system, assisting birthday party guests, monitoring exhibits for safe play and tidiness, and assisting all staff in keeping the museum clean and sanitized. The ideal Sparkologist is outgoing, responsible, and enjoys a fast-paced environment full of children and their adults.
